In reply to: [WooCommerce] Question: Are blocks now standard for WooCommerce?I agree with all you said however from my perspective, once blocks became part of the core Woocommerce, anything not using blocks should not be deemed tested and working with the latest version.
There’s a huge lack of standards in WordPress that I have struggled with after corporate where standards are standards.
Rolling over and constantly giving workarounds is not going to move things forward. People are notoriously lazy and leave things until they have no choice but to do them. However that’s not my style and Woocommerce blocks have been in place for nearly a year now so I really don’t accept the excuse from any plugin developer that they have no roadmap to upgrade to comply with blocks. Just my point of view of course.
I really appreciate your input on this and helping me start the conversation.
Thanks 🙏🏻

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Question: Are blocks now standard for WooCommerce? Thanks @davelo I appreciate your input and agree with you. I guess what I’m questioning how Revolut can say their plugin supports the latest version of Woocommerce when it doesn’t support blocks. Also it’s Revolut not some small developer supporting a plugin.
Also will there then be issues using the block basket? I’ve been using blocks and Stripe since they came out. As far as I’m concerned, blocks are now the standard or should be. It’s great that Woocommerce will still support the shortcodes but it does feel like taking a step backwards when the blocks have been on this website since Easter 2021 I think. I know we went live on good Friday and laughed sneaking a celebratory virtual drink afterwards.
Thanks again James.
I will try to get it all in SiteKit. I am a fan of minimal and everything in one place. I will leave live for now until we are ready to add the new version of the website so the Google ads guy as minimal disruption.Hi James and thanks so much for the quick response.
I had already run the health check and still doesn’t work. I get no error on the screen from the compatibility check, just disappears so it is when I click on the Sign in button at that point, it goes to the error. There are a few errors in the console during the compatibility check.
SCORE!!!! It was actually still failing after going through all those steps you gave but when I went under tools to get the Site Health data, there was an option there to Reset SiteKit so I decided to give it a go (Reset / reboot solves soooo much!) and seems to have cleared it. YAY! I am on to the login screen now anyway and past this error. I will leave this in case someone else gets stuck on the same thing.
I need to wait until Monday to talk to the Google ads guy to see if I can connect it fully as it is gone 7pm here on a Friday so I am not going to get him now.
Quick question as I have only just started using Site Kit recently and most of my client websites just have Google Analytics and Search Console setup, they don’t do ads. I know SiteKit checks GA and GSC but what about GTM?. This website, we have code for Google Tag manager in the Headers and Footer plugin. Can this be handled by Site Kit? And remove from the Header & Footer plugin? (Google TM team added the code through me as requested from the Google Ads team so it was slightly out of my control).
I do have the accounts all connected on GA (GTM and GAds).
Thanks in advance James and no rush, it is the weekend after all.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [Astra] Excellent Support for the most adaptable WordPress themeLikewise @thebengalboy
Probably one of the toughest things I missed when I went self employed vs working with a team in the office was the lack of support they offered.
I noticed a real pattern that I seem to only hit a wall on Friday evenings and keep telling ye that you need to add ‘Exhausted’ to the how are you feeling drop down 😂 but you always come back with help to get things over the line. There’s lots of great products out there however very few come with the same level of support and for me that’s crucial. It’s not just about sales but following up with your customers too and you do that really well.
Thanks again 🙏🏻
Thanks Riza,
Sorry I was in London for the weekend.
I honestly felt the same but Astra insisted I contact you about it. I will get back to them again.

Apologies I missed @conschneider reply. Yes that was what I was trying to change. Same issue trying to update the ‘No Shipping options text’. Woo Blocks is very different to classic. Anywhere you can suggest to learn this?
Yes @rur165 I found a solution on Github. Can be found here for anyone else looking for it. Thanks a mil.
Yup. There’s a fix in now for the next build.
Glad it turned out to be something in the end after all I went through trying to figure out the cause. I knew it was there on that website but no one could replicate it.
All sorted now. Thanks a mil 🙏🏻
Sorry @joashrajin just spotted this now.
Finally figured out the issue, if the customer location is set to no location in the General settings in woocommerce, the problem should be replicated in woocommerce blocks but works fine for [woocommerce_cart].
Must update the bug I’ve posted on github.
Had to switch back to the store location for now and probably will use geolocation but I had stopped using that with the whole GDPR thing. Need to test if it is included in strictly necessary cookies and can’t be rejected.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Never had an issue with this pluginYou’re very welcome.
I do wonder about some of the reviews on here. I aim to stick as close as I can to Woocommerce / WordPress and Gutenberg. Makes sense to me to ensure everything will stay up to date in the future for my clients.
Other 3rd party plugins get left behind.
Keep up the good work!

In reply to: [WC Pickup Store] order received screen has a bugHi Keylor,
Great timing. I just installed the plugin and found this issue.Your code fixed it except ……
This is showing on the order form rather than the checkout for me and the field on the settings page gives the impression this is Checkout notification field only and the tool tip says is the ‘Message will appear next to the shipping order’ which is does but then same message on the order seems weird. I am just took out the message on the order page and entered my own :-). Just letting you know. Thanks.
