I use WP single-site and have same experience.

I have the same problem; more the player shows about 350px tall even I gave no height/width, either in WP dashboard settings nor in the post explicit.

Do you have any ideas/intentions to make SM compliant with qT?

With qTranslate, you can specify all different languages in one field by using their specific language tags: [en:], [de:]…
