Can anyone tell me or antweeman how to upload the development version without loosing the current settings of WordPress SEO?
Hey Lister110 – by the sounds of your post, it sounds like you uploaded the development version. Did you just delete the old version and put in the new version? If so, did that delete all of your old work?
I would like to give it a go so that Joost can have as much info as possible. But I do not want to delete my work thus far…
Thanks for your input!
No problem! Sorry again for the newbie question… I know how to download and upload a plugin – but how do I update an existing plugin with no automatic update?
Will I have to manually replace portions of the plugin in my file manager in C-Panel?
Thanks!
Thanks, I have emailed it. 🙂
So, just to be clear:
-go to my “tools” tab and click “export”
-make sure “all content” is selected and click “download export file”
-save file to my computer
-email file to joost at yoast dot comIs that correct? This will be the first time I have done this…
OK, it took a few moments for WordPress to recognize that WordPress SEO had an update. I updated to 1.2.5 and I still have the same issue of the Page Analysis only seeing 1 word on my page instead of 1585…
this is the page in question, in case it helps:
http://glasshousetheology.com/evolution-charles-darwin-and-the-theory-of-natural-selection/I hate to sound like the newbie, but I have 1.2.4 installed, but I do not see a prompt on my plugin screen to update to 1.2.5 automatically. How do I update the plugin safely without reinstalling it and deleting all my settings?
I too am having this problem. I posted separately not realizing this thread was already running:
My Page Analysis says:
– There are 1 words contained in the body copy. This is far too low and should be increased. (in actuality, there are 1585 words)
– The keyword density is 0%, which is a bit low, the keyword was found 0 times. (in actuality, there are 26 instances)Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: CSS Customization ProblemI just tried this experiment to see if this worked:
<html> <head> <style> p#exampleID1 { background-color: blue; } p#exampleID2 { text-transform: uppercase; } </style> </head> <body> <p id="exampleID1">This paragraph has an ID name of "exampleID1" and has a blue CSS defined background.</p> <p id="exampleID2">This paragraph has an ID name of "exampleID2" and has had its text transformed to uppercase letters.</p> </body> </html>Result here:

In reply to: CSS Customization Problemjcastaneda,
Thanks for the reply! As far as the width, that is the width of the slideshow on the page, so that should be OK.
As for the id or class, could you, perchance, give me an example of what you mean. I am new to css. To me, I have the Id as “quote-container” and the class as “thequote” and “theauthor.”
Should I be doing something more? Thanks for you help.

In reply to: WordPress is changing my hyperlinksWell, you are going to think I am nuts, but I took all the links off last night – and this morning I put them back in to reproduce the problem… now it works just fine. Ha! I will repost if the problem creeps up again. Thanks for you help.
