Reasonable people will understand that when there’s a change to the ship-to address provided, it’s necessary to re-validate the address if the address type is important. The residential delivery fee for LTL freight can be as much as $180. The residential delivery fee for lift-gate delivery can be as much as $180. To avoid being surprised by these fees, it is important to identify the address type prior to requesting a quote from the carrier. The plugin charges between 1 cent to 5 cents (depending on the chosen plan) to look up the address type. The ROI of spending 5 cents to avoid being stuck with up to $360 in delivery fees is enormous, even if it’s done a few times because the site visitor makes changes to the ship-to address. You can choose not to use the plugin if you don’t see value in it.
