Never mind…
found the answer for this one on my own.
The RSS button “went active” on its own (it appears)
The XML error was caused by my Google Chrome Browser that doesn’t come with an RSS feed built in. You have to go get one like here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nlbjncdgjeocebhnmkbbbdekmmmcbfjd
