    Thanks for the quick response! I use W3, and the cPanel Cache manager, so I flushed them both, and then I got the same error as the first time. I tried to screenshot it but it didn’t seem to work. Anyhow, it had the Hurray! message with JS but nothing in any of the columns, and an error at the top of the page stating:

    Ouch! Gdpress encountered an error while downloading javascript;base64,dmFyIGhlYWQ9ZG9jdW1lbnQuZ2V0RWx: A valid URL was not provided.

    If it is not possible to subset FontAwesome it may not be worth it to use this plugin since I am already using OMGF Pro? I have a few questions in there too, so you don’t need to respond to this as I will probably focus my energy there.

    Thanks for the great support though!

    Hi John,

    Thanks for your reply. We have a lot of redirects that we did not create that look like this:

    /contemporary-home-design-san-diego-4/
    /contemporary-home-design-san-diego-23/

    I think WordPress or Redirection is creating these on the fly as we iterate early versions of our pages. Once we have the final page in place, none of these should be necessary so we can delete them without issue, correct?

    Thanks!

    Hi Corey,

    I think you are correct. User Thomas on the forum figured this out and helped me with a temporary fix:

    Try to add this to beginning of .htaccess

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]
    </IfModule>

    This should check if https is on, and if so, sends the request to non-https = http.

    This seemed to fix it as we have been spot-checking and the problem has not occurred again since we changed our .htaccess file.

    I look forward to the update.

    Hi Frank,

    Thanks for the hint! I’m not sure it will help in this case though because I’m not sure that I have the technical skill to pull that off. I’m not sure how I would add that to every menu bar item and every internal link, etc? Maybe easier to just disable and reset the parameters when I enable again?

    Thank you! I left a review after I first installed too, but it let me leave another based on my recent experience.

    One follow-up. Themeco has asked me to disable plugins to troubleshoot. If I disable Autoptimize will it keep all my settings for when I enable again? Is disabling the best way to go?

    Thanks Frank! I figured as much but I thought I would check.

    Thanks! That worked great, and even shows a warning not to update so we won’t keep forgetting and click on UPDATE!

    Hi Daan,

    Thanks for the quick reply! We have been asking our host to update for a year now and they always say that it is their highest priority and it will be updated any time. Sigh.

    Anyhow, I poked around a bit and couldn’t figure out where old versions of your plugin are kept. Could you direct me to a location where I can download it?

    Thanks again for your help!

    Steve
