What I did was install a plugin called Asset Queue Manager and then found what was loading that tag and deactivated it using the plugin and it seems to have done what I was looking for.

All I needed to do was log in as admin and then goto “Visit Site”.
I was under the impression it would show up on the bar in the Dashboard area.
Most likely a rookie mistake on my part. Thanks again for helping me work through it.

I’m fairly new with WordPress so it’s likely something I’m doing wrong.
I’ve installed and activated it. Logged out, logged in from different browsers, cleared cache and cookies. Still no joy.
