In reply to: [Vogue] Modify the front page sliderI updated the Vogue theme and I can now see an option on the left side of the dashboard called Vogue sliders which was not there before.
However, the original slider I had in the website does not show up as an option to modify. I still can’t figure out how to edit it.
I tried adding another slider and it does not show up in the website.
It seems to have deleted all the other images and buttons I had on the site.Really frustrated

In reply to: [WP Image Borders] Unwanted Golden Borders on ImagesI read that Gutenberg should not conflict with Elementor, but that does not seem to be my experience. I disabled the Elementor plugin and I uploaded some images using the Gutenberg interface. But my theme (Vogue) says I should have Elementor enabled, so I did, and when I tried to edit my home page it took me to Elementor and has removed the images I created previously.
So no more problem now with golden boarder, the images are completely gone!
I found the featured image widget in my WP dashboard. Thanks so much for pointing that out to me. I updated it with a new image I want to feature, then went to FB and loaded my URL into a post without sharing it. Surprisingly, it did change the image from what it was before, but not to the image I wanted to feature.
Kind of weird – any ideas?
Thank you so much again
thanks so much! – how would I add a feature image?

In reply to: Images Not OptimizingThanks for these insights.
Several questions:
– Are you saying that the image file size that Google sees is 900px * 900px but my WP theme is squeezing the actual visible size to something smaller?
– How did you see what those visible dimension sizes actually are?
– I’m surprised that the desktop version would be smaller than the tablet version. How can that be?
– I know how to squeeze the sizes down in Photoshop, but how do I know what google wants? What is considered “Optimal”? I want big, visible, images on my site, that are crisply visible. How do I get that without sacrificing page speed – or is that a pipe dream?
Thanks so much again!
I’ve submitted a ticket on lullum
I think I used to get support for a few months, but I believe that time has now elapsed. Not sure this is going to work out. I’ll probably just have to figure out some other solution or plugin
No it’s a child of a theme called Big Point by Lollum, purchased through Theme Forest.
I activated all three (HTML, CSS, JS optimization) and found it completely disabled my site unless I transitioned over to the 2016 theme.
I also tested all the plugins and found the three optimizations disabled the site no matter what other plugins I had in place.
I must use my child theme so unless I can resolve this, I just won’t be able to use this plugin.
thanks for your help
Trying to post a screen shot, but I do have Autopitize installed and activated
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content still coming back both for desktop and mobile in GA
Hi Frank,
I just installed and activated the autopimize plugin, but I’m still getting the same error Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content in PageSpeed Tools – Insights.
By the way my website is https://doodlenoodle.com
The specific page with the worst average loading times is https://doodlenoodle.com/givingback/
Thanks,

In reply to: Are H1, H2, H3 tags REQUIRED for SEO?Thanks for your responses
I guess my follow up questions are this:
1. Am I going to have to make a choice between the look and feel of the front page of the site and any H1, H2 tags?
2. Can I accomplish the same SEO value with proper title tags and meta description.
3. I can see how the Header of a article or blog post may be an H1, but what about a page? Thanks again
