In reply to: How to disable AI word-completionAh! Figured it out. Nothing to do with WordPress. I am using a Mac. Went to System Settings / Keyboard / Input sources / Spelling and prediction and unchecked “Show inline predictive text.”
Problem solved!

When the new hosting service restored the original file structure, everything worked again, so . . . problem solved!
Many thanks,

In reply to: Moved hosts, lost links to pagesThank you so much, Muhibul! The new hosting service is re-doing the database, so I can’t load the site at the moment, but when I can I will follow your advice, which sounds like the answer, and let you know if it works.

In reply to: Indent first line of most paragraphs, not all@numewplucian, I suspect that the vast majority of people who have the coding skills to work on the block editor, etc., are not “literary” types who pay attention to things like indented paragraphs; and that the vast majority of “literary” types are people like me, who have zero coding skills. Hopefully these requests will make their way to the top of the “to do” list, eventually.

In reply to: Indent first line of most paragraphs, not all@threadi Do you know if this change is included in the new Block Editor for WP 6.2?
I tried to check, but I couldn’t tell.

In reply to: Indent first line of most paragraphs, not allIt appears that there are three on-going discussions of this issue on GitHub, all since Dec 2021.
Hope springs eternal!

In reply to: Indent first line of most paragraphs, not all@threadi Thanks again! I put all of that in when I created the discussion, but as you say, none of that appeared. I have pasted it again, this time into the “comment” field. I think it’s clear now, yes?

In reply to: Indent first line of most paragraphs, not allFollowing @threadi’s advice, I have created a GitHub account and have re-posted the bulk of my original post here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/45926.
Fingers crossed!

In reply to: Indent first line of most paragraphs, not all@tziptkeh I, too, am unsure how software development is driven at WordPress. Clearly, those of us who see the value and importance of indenting to indicate a new paragraph are a small minority of the WordPress community.

In reply to: Indent first line of most paragraphs, not allThanks for this.
Unfortunately, none of the solutions proposed is practicable with high school and middle school students.
From what you say, it seems that this will continue to be a problem until someone comes up with a theme that is specifically designed to allow for both block (unindented) and indented paragraphs, with an easy way for users to designate which kind of paragraph they want in each case.
It is always discouraging when technology determines design, instead of the other way round.

Hello clairebre,
I just want to thank you for your post. I followed your instructions, and they worked perfectly.
Like you, however, I remain concerned that someone was able to install a plug-in on my site without my knowledge. I hope the WordPress folks will look into this to see what hole the hackers have exploited, and fix it asap.
Thanks again,
Eric
