    Thanks for the ideas:
    1. I removed wp-super-cache, and made sure all things were gone. wp-cache-config.php
    and advanced-cache.php
    2. Deleted the wp-foro plugin which was running on /community/ which could have been
    causing a clear cache issue.
    3. Re-loaded and just wp-super-cache defaults

Still had the same problem, so I had some time and decided to track down which function is calling the prune_super_cache wp_cache.php, just do get more data on who is doing the remove, what case.
Ran out of time, so instead just commented out prune_super_cache in wp-cache-phase2.php and just return 1 instead. lo. That solved my cache clearing problem =), so at least confirmed it was the plugin doing the remove. If I get some time after this week, I will track down which function was doing the call and work backwards.
I did have wpforo installed on the /community url, can’t really figure out where to turn off the /community destination, I’ve already removed wpforo. As you noticed odd behavior on the /community url, it could be something revolving around something twisted from that.

Longer term, I will move to Linux, as I just happened to have a VM running windows a while back when we set this site up. That was stupid, as Windows has all kind of challenges. But I don’t have time for fixing this now, just need fast site with woo commerce working for the moment.

I will update this thread if I get time to track it down, static pages now are fast, and know how to clear the cache manually. =).

    Thanks for the response.

Yes I turned off all my plugins, with the exception of woo commerce just because I don’t want to break things as we do sales on the site. I also look at my options and I
    only have:

disable caching for logged in visitors

Everything else is off and have cachtimeout to be zero as well, to stop garbage collection. So it’s not garbage collection and I agree something is convincing WP-super-cache to clean up everything. The strange thing is, when you first setup the plugin, it creates several folders (blogs, and a few other things), but whatever is happening is removing everything in there. Almost like the plugin is running an uninstall function for a second.

If I de-activate the plugin, it removes the entire cache directory contents and the directory itself, which is to be expected.

So yeah, not sure how to figure out who is doing the remove. I think the WP-super-cache is, but not sure why it thinks it needs to remove everything.

Ok, I turned off the cronjob, and it’s still deleting eveything in the wp-content/cache directory. Event doe sthis when I have wp-super-cache turned off. The plugin is active and it’s the one looping and removing things, even when cache is turned off.

I create a separate folder in wp-content/cache called “wow” and what ever is running removes everything, including my own folder.

Pug somewhere in the plugin itself ? how odd

Adding this here, not sure which thread people will see, looks like the cache garbage collector cronjob is failing, and rescheduling itself in 10 seconds. Yup..

How do I debug why its failing, it would seem it does run far enough to delete everying.

    Hi,

The WP Super Cache Garbage Collector has now run, deleting 0 files and directories.
If you want to switch off these emails please see the WP Super Cache Advanced Settings
    page on your blog.

The following warnings were generated by the WP Super Cache Garbage Collector:
Cache expiry cron job failed. Job will run again in 10 seconds.

    The Garbage Collector.

That would seem to be the problem, Cache expiry cron job failed. “Will run in 10 seconds.. yeah that would be doing it.
No where do we see the cron job failed log?

Oh look, I enabled email notification when it runs garbage collection, look what I got:

I’m seeing the same thing, posted a support question, clearly this is a bug, maybe we can track it down:

    Running Windows 10
Logging on, can watch the logfiles in the cache also being removed after a few seconds
as well. Almost like the plugin is turning itself off, cleaning up, then turning itself back on, re-logging and then starting a new supercache folder, only to turn off again.
The supercache folder tends to get removed faster then the logfile though.

Happy to share my ESXi console to let you guys take a look for yourselves.

Here is the thread I posted:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/supercache-being-removed-after-3-5-seconds/

With logs and the like, disabled all the plugins, re-install wp-superchach, etc.

    Same behavior.

I disabled redirects just to test, that didn’t seem to have any effect, so the redirects don’t seem to be the problem.

The log file for debug: (Note I place redirect on forms URLs to control SPAM and turned off forms, so these outputs seem normal)
