Indeed my mobile speed is poor, according to the Mobile Website Speed Testing Tool. It scores 29 out of 100 points. But my desktop speed scores exactly the same in that test: 29 out of 100 points. But when I load the home page of the Enigma thema on a desktop it loads about 10 times faster than on a mobile device. So in my opinion the outcome of the speed test tool doesn’t prove a whole lot.
And then in earlier replies you said that the theme works fine on mobile and my website works fine on mobile.
So to sum up your asnwers: the speed is poor but everything works fine.

I’m guessing that you don’t have a good idea on what causes the problem that I’m experiencing. So I tries some things myself. What I’ve done in the end is disabling the home blog. And what do you know! The speed of the home page increases dramatically. Page loading goes from about 40 seconds to about 5 seconds.
So my guess is that the more posts a website has, the slower the home blog of the Enigma theme gets.
I remember that when I started using the theme (which had version 2.1 then), it was loading the home page in just a few seconds. Then I upgraded to version 2.2 and still had a good performance. Later I upgraded to version 2.3.1. In that upgrade I think I did not specifically test on mobile. But after I had version 2.3.1. for a while I noticed the speed had dropped quite a bit.
But disabling the home blog does the trick for me.
Maybe that can give you some idea on how to improve and optimize the theme, which I really like by the way.

I did some measurements on the performance of the home page of the Enigma theme. I’m using a WIFI connection on my Samsung Galaxy S4. The browser is Chrome. With Speedtest I can see that the average download speed of my WIFI connection is around 2300 Kbytes/second. I think that should be fast enough to download all the resources needed by the Enigma thema in just a few seconds (using Firefox on my desktop I see that the home page requires downloading 3070 Kbytes in 85 separate GET requests, which takes just over 2 seconds on the desktop).
So what I’m guessing is that the Javascript processing that needs to be done after downloading the resources takes a lot of time.
After requesting the home page it takes around 5 to 6 seconds before I see the page header, the theme slider and the service area.
Then, after waiting for about 30 to 35 seconds, the portfolio and home blog are displayed.
What kind of page loading times were you able to get using the devices you mentioned?

Thanks for testing my website. Can you tell me what device and browser you used for testing?
The slow performance I am noticing is on Chrome, using a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Tab E.
