I am having a similar issue. It is not only with the WPBakery Text Editor, but also with other elements like the Post Masonry Grid element. You are unable to save any changes until the User Activity Log is disabled (1.4.8.1).
Unfortunately, I have the same problem on my site using Contact Form 7 5.0.2. I have my contact form set up to send mail, as well as to use Mail (2) as an autoresponder. I got the autoresponder, but the eMail address in the ‘To:’ field for my form never gets sent anything. I checked with my mail host and they checked their logs and did not see any incoming messages which got blocked, or removed.
