In reply to: WordPress login functionality with parent siteYeah we have a site. We want a blog for it and would like to use wordpress. So we’re planning on hosting the blog on the main site.
I was hoping it might be possible to disable the wordpress database table and and use the one from the main site.

In reply to: Using a non-wordpress database to manage commentsIs there a solid answer to the initial question?
I would like to know whether it’s possible to bring over logins to our wordpress database in order allow 1 set of login details for the main site and comments on the wordpress site.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers

In reply to: User intergration from another siteApologies for seemingly clueless questions, i’m not big on the technical aspects of this. Just trying to ease concerns of those that are. Apparently: “we are using something custom at the moment, but that may change next year, as we are looking for intergration with our CRM system.”
No idea if that’s any help.
But thanks alot for the help so far!

In reply to: User intergration from another siteThe company i work for is a member based organisation and we would like to have only members able to make comments on articles in the blog. Is it possible to intergrate our existing member login/password database into the blog so that members need to login to the main site in order leave comments? If so, how?
