I don’t know if it helps anyone. But I had the same problem on my Mac: Suddenly certain font types appeared in bold in all browsers, which was very annoying.
Solution:
Just log in to your Adobe Creative Cloud Account. Somehow I was not logged in and that caused the problem.
Now it works like before.
