…..ok, just solved it… there were old Mailpoet/CF7 integration shortcodes on my form and they provoked the issue. The form/page is working and the checkbox for the newsletter signup is shown correctly. Thanks!!
Hello – can you help: if I activate your plugin, my Contact Form 7 stops to work – the page just stays blank if the plugin is activated. If I try to edit the page, I get a “critical error”. In order to access the page again, I need to deactivate the plugin. With the plugin deactivated, the CF7 form works – but there is no newsletter signup possible any more…
(I don’t know if it’s the same issue which you addressed with your recent update…)

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Redirect to the critical error on pageNow I found the culprit: If I deactivate the Plugin “MailPoet – Contact Form 7 Integration” the CF7 Form works again. I hope it helps you too.

Meanwhile, I think it has nothing to do with CF7.
Try deactivating other plugins – one by one – until the critical error disappears. Start with plugins which interact with CF7. In my case the error was gone when I deactivated many other plugins – I haven’t gotten around to re-activate them to find the culprit. (Tell me if you find the culprit on your side!)

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Redirect to the critical error on pageHello
The page with the CF7 form used to work perfectly, but now the whole page does not display at all any more (just a blank page) – when I try to modify the page, I get the “critical error” (no other error messages). WordPress 6.1, CF7 5.6.4 – it’s possible that this happened when my webhosting upgraded to php 8.1 (downgrading to php 8.0 did not help). I can display the page only if I deactivate CF7.
Many thanks in advance for any help to get the form working again.
I have a testing installation in case you need to reproduce the error.
Yours sincerely, Daniel
