Also, for some reason there were additional “>>>” at the very end of the code, they only would show up when I changed the “Booked” verbiage. I deleted the extra ones and viola, works like a charm.

Does the free version have some kind of code that does not allow you to modify it without putting that at the top?I went to the “appointment-calendar-shortcode.php” and modified the title:’booked’ and that is what it did.
Any ideas?
