I understand this: you are not using the Matomo for WordPress plugin
In that case, the most reliable update strategy is to use the manual (3 step) update process.

after digging through lots of blogs in the web, I found the hint, that the WordPress Plugin “Podlove Podcast” gets in conflict with motamo. After disabling it, the error disappeared.
