There is actually one more thing. On this page below the captions of the photos have somehow been hidden by this new code. I am not sure how to solve it. Have tried other ways to add the captions but failed.

When you say – You have to put the caption on the pictures.
Do you mean that there is a difference to add the caption on the picture info in the media library as opposed to writing it in the line below the pictures in a gallery? The caption goes to the media library by the looks of things..

And when you add the caption in the gallery it automatically adds it to the media file. I have tried a fe things and figured out that the captions I had added before adding the code all have the hover feature. The ones I added after the code are not visible. So now I will remove the code and add it again to see what happens 🙂 I will hopefully get it in the end…

But I was hoping this code would affect all the galleries, also on the other pages and posts. Or does it just do it on this particular post?

In reply to: WordPress Gallery with hovering captionsWell, I did actually paste it exactly where you said: Appearance > Customizer > Additional CSS.
And I removed the previous code. When this did not work I also added it to the CSS classes in the gallery. This did not work either, so I removed this. It might be that I have something else in the CSS setting that conflicts? This is what is there already:

Solved it by downloading a plugin I found in another thread. Worked intantly. Plugin: Post SMTP

I am having the same problems with my emails not coming through.
I have checked the points you highlighted but unsure how to check if wordpress is not sending.
Any advise on how to do this would be appreciated.
I have gone through everything else which looks like it is correct.
Might be easier to change form, but really like this so ideally I would like to keep this one but need it to actually work.

In the kerfuffle of trying to work the HERO problem out I must have managed to move something accidentally around. Suddenly I was unable to edit anything on my site and got this disturbing error message.
Any idea what I have done and how I could rectify it? My beautiful block editing has suddenly disappeared as well 🙁
