I’m using the latest version of the plugin on newly installed latest version of WordPress, and I get this error when trying to deactivate the plugin:
There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.
I’m utterly disappointed as I expected plugin from a PayPal partner to work. No instructions was sent to admin’s email. How do I fix this issue?

Got the same problem. After activation of the plugin, my whole website broke. I had to get ftp access and delete the plugin manually in order to revive my website.
Wordpress version: 5.0.3
Theme: Twenty Seventeen by WordPress
Plugins: Jetpack by WordPress
PHP: 5.6.30
