This is a php problem. Basically, your server needs to be running php 5.x. If it is running 4.x, Events Espresso won’t load.

I am also getting this error message even though I can upload to the site through FileZilla just fine. It is maddening!!! I am trying to set up a WP site for a client and can’t get any plugins functioning. Does anyone know the answer to this?
I am also getting this error. Tried timelesstrends trick and nothing changed. I find if I reload or try again sometimes I am able to get through but I need to understand why I am getting the error so I can fix it.
