In reply to: [wpForo Forum] Visibility of WP usernameSorry for disturbing you, I understood why I might wrongly think that the nickname on the forum was taken from my username in WP. Before I looked in the admin panel of WP, I have already changed the nickname on the forum, therefore my nickname was already changed in the WP also, so I couldn’t see that my nickname in WP was the same as my username in WP. I didn’t use my nickname as the display name, so I probably didn’t pay enough attention.
But I still don’t understand why, when I change the nickname in the WP, the nickname on the forum doesn’t change. And it works fine in opposite direction – when I change the nickname on the forum, the nickname in WP is get changed. Can you please explain this? Is it synchronized only in one direction?

But why do you call it the nickname, when it was just taken from my username in WP, not from my nickname? Can the forum automatically use my WP nickname, if I already have one, for my nickname in the forum?
This is most critical for admins of WP, and they will probably set up their names before installing the forum.
