I’ve got the same problem. I have just upgraded from 1.5.x to 2.1 and I still get spam from unregistered users. Like you all comments are moderated so it doesn’t go anywhere but the moderation queue but still..

Well, ie apears to be the agrss plugin. Whem I disable this plugin the problen disapears.
