Thanks Stefano, you are perfectly right. After stopping the automated mail encryption (Plugin: PB MailCrypt – AntiSpam E-Mail Encryption) and doing it manually where needed all looks fine. This is solved. Best Felix
BTW, I am running WordPress 4.9.8 with the Theme Lovecraft and the plugin Version Newsletter 5.6.5.
