you can set up your own groups internally and allocate users to them to control which posts and pages they can read.

I’m just installed it with 2.6 also and the Visual Editor is working as normal on my setup. I don’t have many other plugins running, just this and TinyMCE Advanced. Have you tried deactivating others in case there’s a conflict?

I was looking for the same thing for the same reason and found a plugin where you can save any post or page as a template and then use that to make copies
