In reply to: Comment submit button disappeared after 4.2 updateSame problem here. Using the Oxygen theme. I don’t understand where the code given above should go, so cannot implement the fix myself.

In reply to: Blog pages are blank, theme is “broken”Okay. I reinstalled an all new download, followed the directions about backups and the config file. Ran the updater. Still a blank index.php page and still no links on the Admin Presentation screen allowing me to choose a theme. HELP!

In reply to: Blog pages are blank, theme is “broken”This situation is getting desperate. I had the hosting company support people rebuild some tables on the server. Now I have a partially working admin area, still no available links on the theme category so can’t change themes. But the blog itself is still blank.
If I reinstall everything am I going to lose my current settings and posts?

In reply to: Blog pages are blank, theme is “broken”the wp-content directory is writable.
Now the wp-login screen is a complete blank, too! I can’t even get to the nonfunctioning dashboard to attempt installing another theme. (I tried to do that earlier on my own, but there were no working links and no operable change theme options.)
If it would do any good for you have the url? I have used all the various tools in the Web Developer Toolbar and looked at view source (it’s blank) in a effort to get a clue about what the problem is but no joy.

In reply to: Blog pages are blank, theme is “broken”I changed them all to 777, which made no difference, so I changed them back to what they were before. I also tried creating an uploads directory on the server in the appropriate spot, which didn’t help with the image upload either.
However, the blog was still functioning and posts were still appearing after I did that. today they are not.
