Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Change Table Prefix] table prefix not changedI wish I had checked here before installing. I just installed and used the plugin and this happened to me as well.
There are extra p and br tags that seem to be the problem, I just don’t know where they’re coming from.
That file doesn’t have any formatting in it so there isn’t anything that can be changed to fix the problem.
I am having the same problem with the search page and I’ve tried with Twenty Eleven with the same result.
In addition search by date range is not working.
@aglonwl: This worked beautifully, thank you!
I put the following lines in my wp-config.php file to force the HTTPS:
define('FORCE_SSL_ADMIN', true);
define('FORCE_SSL_Workspace Login', true); The HTTPS/WordPress issue has be frustrating to deal with as well. I find that when I force the HTTPS using the above method, it forces HTTPS on ALL my pages which ruins the javascript elements on my pages and/or I get the annoying warning message in the address bar that my site is not secure. This only happened with Chrome. I didn’t have those issues when I used FireFox.
I only need HTTPS for my login page right now but this may change in the future.
To resolve that issue I installed an plugin called “Force non-SSL” which seemed to fix everything, except for the location search.
Removing the force HTTPS lines from my wp-config.php file and calling up the login page with a https link was my solution for now.
So I basically ran around in a huge circle and pretty much ended up back where I started! LOL
Thanks! I will give this a try.
Actually when you use the term “disaster” to describe something that for many others have proven to be the opposite, you kinda discount your own assessment.
Thank you.
Thanks for responding Marcus. I figured it out!
The feature was working in the back-end but not in the front-end, so I guessed it might not be a plugin conflict.
I then realized that in the back-end, the page was loaded using HTTPS but not the front-end. When I forced the front-end page to load using HTTPS, the location search worked.
I beg to differ.
I’ve used over a hundred plugins on two different blogs and I think this is one of the best out there.
Not to mention that the developers, after spending hundreds of programming hours working on it have given it away for free. Please.
It’s continually being developed into an even better product.
Thanks to the EM team for a JOB WELL DONE.
When I was on the 5.1.9.1 update, I had the issue where the Featured Content slider would show on single category pages. Using 5.1.8.5 I do not have that problem.
I then realized that some of my events were showing extra meta information, specifically author information and comments, even though I had specifically turned off comments in the EM settings and set the events to behave like pages (My theme is set to NOT show author information in any of the pages on my site, only in posts).
I thought it was a 5.1.9.1 issue but it turned out to be a JetPack issue, specifically the “Share This” option. After disabling that feature completely, the comments section no longer shows in those events, although the author information still does.
I can live with that if I have to, but does anyone know of another way I could turn off author information in the event posts without having to turn the feature off for ALL posts?
I was using Version 5.1.8.5 with no major issues and then upgraded to Version 5.1.9.1 because it became available. After upgrading all of my settings remained the same.
Last night when I rolled back to version 5.1.8.5 I didn’t have the issue but when I rolled back today I started getting errors and conflicts with WP HTTPS. I uninstalled and re-installed Events Manager which cleared the errors (and had to re-do EVERYTHING, which was ok).
I’m using a child theme of Suffusion and there is no single-event.php file that I could find in the Suffusion folders nor in my child theme’s folders.
I’m back on version 5.1.8.5 with no problems sooo…I’m just going to ignore the update for now, but perhaps you can investigate because I would like to keep the plugin up to date.
I’ve figured this out, thanks.
I am having the same issue. Does this not work with Chrome?
I have this same issue except my new locations won’t autofill at all which is strange because some locations do. I just don’t understand why it works sometimes and then not at others.
The redirection isn’t working for me either.
I’ve also disabled the dashboard and I use bbpress which is an important part of my site, so not using bbpress is not an option.
Hopefully the developer will figure out a way to get this plugin to work properly with those others because I like the functionality it promises.
