In reply to: Problems with installI have just spent over two hours trying to install word press. I do not know php and I am not familiar with how to do the scripts nor do I know what info to remove from the config-sample.php form.
I am new to this and it seems that word press is just for advanced users of php. I don’t see how it takes 5 minutes to install it when I can not get the config.php form to work.
I think Word Press needs to put a disclaimer in that unless you know how to write php scripts you will not be able to install the program in 5 minutes.
I finally uninstalled it from my website, but not all the files want to uninstall seems there are some permission issues so this will be my next adventure.
Does anyone know of any other blog programs that are not so difficult to install?

In reply to: Problem with install pageOkay Im trying to figure out where to start. First off I do not know PHP. So with that said I am not totally sure how to fill out the config.php I do not know what to remove from the config.sample file and what to keep in, because of this I can NOT get word press to work.
Don’t you think you people could have at least shown a php file correctly filled out so newbies like me would know how to do it?
Instead I’m spending hours now trying to figure this out on my own.
I guess when something is free this is what you should expect.
Oh yeah and the best part of this little adventure everytime I click on a page to read a post I can’t reply because I have to log in which means I lose the page I am on. I somehow was able to land on this page and post this message. So of course, I probably will not get a reply on how to resolve this issue, because I can’t seem to get to that page and be logged in.
I am going to uninstall word press from my website and look for something that is a little more user friendly.
