    Someone in our team found the solution (several setting had been lost during the updates). Pb solved.

    Important detail I forgot — When the bug happened, we got this message from WordPress in the admin section:
    “Action Required: migrate Bento theme options into the Customizer.
    Due to a change in WordPress rules, all themes options are now handled by the native Customizer (Appearence – Customize in Admin section). Please click on the button below to transfer existing Bento theme options into the Customizer.
    TRANSFER BUTTON”.

    We did click, which solved issues we suddenly also had with the template of the pages. But the issue with the sub-menus remained. This issue is obviously not with the ‘hamburger format’ menu, but with the ‘bar menu’. Thank you for your help!
