Hello @vojkanbg,
Thanks for the detailed explanation. This behavior is not related to your configuration. At the moment, Cloud Storage Manager uploads the files from local storage to the connected cloud service after Fluent Forms triggers its email notification. Because the email is sent before the upload completes, Fluent Forms inserts the local file URL instead of the final cloud URL.
When you resend the email, Fluent Forms already has the cloud file reference, which is why the correct Google Drive link appears in the resent notification.
We are actively working on improving this flow. Our team is implementing an update that will allow cloud uploads to be completed before the email action runs, ensuring the correct cloud file links are available in the initial notification email.
This solution is planned for an upcoming release. Thank you for your patience and for reporting your experience—it helps us refine the integration.
Hello @vojkanbg,
Thanks for your question. We are currently working on a feature that will allow more flexible file-naming options. This includes the ability to retain the original file name or define a custom naming pattern using shortcodes (for example: entry ID, date, submitter name, and the original file name). This functionality is planned for the Pro version and should be available within the next 2–3 releases. We appreciate your patience and your feedback—it helps us improve the plugin experience.
Thank you for your kind words and for using Cloud Storage Manager.
At the moment, the plugin does not support uploading files directly from an external URL. It only works with files uploaded from the local device or from integrated form submissions.
The feature you described (server-to-server fetch and upload) is technically possible, and we may consider it for a future release depending on user interest.
If this functionality is important for your workflow, feel free to share more details so we can better understand the use case.
