Hello
Thank you for clarifying this. I now understand why the print/download generated PDF is in the site’s default language.
Thank you
PascalHello and thank your for your reply.
We seem to have a communication issue, so let me try to explain it again:The emails work perfectly fine.
But unlike your statement the PDF generated by the print/download button in NOT in the language of the site. Meaning that if my site is in french the PDF generated remains in italian (primary language).. if I swtich to english the generated PDF is not in english but still in Italian.
I don’t need the PDF to remain in a certain langauge and I’m totally fine with the PDF being generated in the site language but this doesn’t work and that the issue I’m trying to gete resolved.
Thank you
PascalHi Yordan
Thanks for your reply and letting me know about this.
Sincerely
PascalHello
Thank you for your reply.I actually do want exactly what the basic plugin does! The actual issue is that it doesn’t matter what language the site is set by the user – the pdf generated by print or download is always in the locale of the main language (italian). I have made test orders in every language on the front end and no matter what language I have set when I order the pdf generated form print/download button is in italian.
But the PDF sent via email is in the correct language
I hope you understand what I mean?
Thank you
PascalHello
Thanks for your reply. Have you tried it in a multi lingual envireonment? When using the default language (in my case italian) they are identical but as soon as I switch to another language parts of the pdf remain in the original language (I translated all the strings).
Here’s a screenshot of the invoice generated through the print button (with italian parts instead of german): https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/pg2xm2e77lbxdwzlvb3hl/invoice_6936_generated_through_print_button.png?rlkey=v8x2u8k9kgodwbl8ohxnwcv0g&dl=0
And here’s the same invoice pdf attached to the order email (correct): https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mq0qn5s08e8xc3xsjk3y0/invoice_6936_attached_to_email.png?rlkey=xcujewdxsk26kcf1alx39r7wo&dl=0

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Set Credit Card form to Swiss GermanHi Niklas
Thank you for your fast reply and clarification. As the planned improvements for the next release seem even better than what I expected it will be worth the wait!
Sincerely,
PascalHi Champ
Thanks for getting back to me. I do a conflict check (as close as possible since I rely on other plugins for the “my account” page) and it’s still not working. I have used your plugin before and never had issues before!
As I’m still running that plugin in a non WPML environment and it still works I assume it is related to WPML.
I did find another plugin that does what I need (I only need to conditional login/logout menu item) so for the time being my issue is resolved.. though it would be interesting to find out what the issue is as many woocommerce sites are multi lingual
Thanks,
PascalHello
I’m having the exact same issue!
“2. Can you please check which version of MailPoet you have installed? We recently released a two-step unsubscribe process. So now, users must confirm the unsubscribe action by clicking a link on the page. This is to prevent robots from unsubscribing users unintentionally.”– What’s the point of having a personalized unsubscribe page when my clients first have to look at an “ugly” undesigned mailpoet confirm unsubscribe page before getting to the actual page?
– it would be great if we could at least decide for ourselves if we want to take the risk of robots unsubscribe our customers
– if the “confirm the unsubscribe page” has to be, it would be great to be able to create a personalized page for this as wellDon’t get me wrong! I love you plugin but it seems you guys released an update way too fast and forgot about the options we need to make your plugin look good in the front end!
In the meanwhile I got a pissed customer (because I was to fast at updating the plugin) that says it was fine before…
I really hope you guys release an update fixing those issues fast…
Thanks, PascalHi Matt
It’s been a while and unfortunately the problem isn’t solved yet. WPML did a sandbox test and managed to make it work in their environment, but trying to achive the same in my envirement failed. They have made available a duplicator package from their sandbox environment to try to find out what the issue could be.
You can find this package here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UbK7YM7w4XRU4dbgCgx4rEo4Cd-5YFwA?usp=sharing_eip&ts=5cae3524Would this help to help me? From a WPML point of view (as they made it working) they think their work is done but I’m still confroted with the issue…
Thanks, Pascal

In reply to: [Better File Download] Problem with shortcodeHi Fargia
Just found the (simple) solution explained in the Settings Tab of the Plugin (under shortcodes). Simply use: [download_category category=”#”] and replace # through the slug of your category

In reply to: [Better File Download] Problem with shortcodeHello
I am having the exact same problem and would need to display all dwonloads automatically in one page (using the category shortcodes) to avoid my customer having to manually add a short code every new download
Thanks, PascalHi Matt. Thanks fpr getting back to me.
1. I’m using “?lang=de” to swap language
2. I created a german version of the success page and used your snippet to redirect the german form to the success page (using both ID and URL provided in the snippet)I have also reached out to WPML and this was there first idea to try solving the problem:
1 – In your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > String Translation choose the ‘admin_texts_give_settings’ from the ‘Select strings within domain’ dropdown list.2 – Now, enter the id of your translated pages and check the field as translated. I have entered the id of your translated ‘thank you’ page, you can follow the same pattern for the other pages as well. In order to find the id of your translated page, please, try the following:
2.1 – In your WordPress Dashboard > Pages click to edit the desired page and change to the german language using the language switcher located at the admin top bar.
2.2 – Now you are able to find the page id of the translated page in the browser’s address bar.
Since this wasn’t successful as well they now have set up a test server where I will upload a copy of the site where they will also do further tests…
Thanks again for your precious help!
PascalHi Matt
I have tried using your PHP snippet according to your guide. Unfortunately absolutely nothing happened … how shall we proceed now.. should I still use the option “You requested I reach out to you here”? Are you checking with WPML anyways? Please advice
Thank you, Pascal
Hi Matt
Thanks for your work! I can confirm that setting WPML to force loading .mo doesn’t solve the problem. In string translation I have “translated” the success page ID into the ones in German.. didn’t help either.
Thanks for that new info with the code snippet. I will try this.. where should I place the code (I’m definitely not a coder) that you posted?
Thanks, PascalHi Matt
Thanks for te input. I will have to check on this when I’ll be back from holidays
