In reply to: [BuddyPress Simple Terms And Conditions] Shows after SubmitHey Carin, thanks for your note. Could you please give me a little more information about your setup? What other plugins do you use on the registration page?

In reply to: [BuddyPress Simple Terms And Conditions] Easy to use, and mandatory :)Thanks 🙂
Yeah, in some countries it’s absolutely mandatory to let your users accept your terms and conditions if you don’t want to end up in a lawsuit, that’s why I wrote this plugin for myself and thought “why not make it a little bit more user friendly and publish it to the repository?”.@slyvershyne, good to know, thanks.
@steigw:
I’ll have a look on that, didn’t notice yet, that there are any incompatibilities. I’m using “BuddyPress NoCaptcha Register Box”, it’s designed to fit into the register page and I have no problems either with spambots, or with malfunction.Hi slyvershyne,
I tested it again with a multisite installation and had no issues. If the box isn’t checked, it’s not possible to proceed with the registration for me.
I did a quick test and couldn’t reproduce the issue. I’ll test it with a multisite installation shortly.
If you can provide further information (or maybe a link to your site?) please let me know via reply or e-mail: [email protected]
Thank you!
Thanks for your report, I’ll have a look. It’s tested up to 4.5.4 and BP 2.4.3, maybe they changed something lately.
Hi ymca,
I think I don’t get your point… The text displayed on the registration page is fully customizable in the backend. If you install the plugin for the first time there is some dummy text and as long as you don’t change and save it in the backend this text is translateable aswell.
Or do you mean a multilingual register page? At the moment there is no option to enter the text for more than one language.
A possible workaround for a multilingual register page is to delete the plugin data in the WordPress database, it will then fall back to the predefined dummy text in the language file. You can alter the language files and create new languages from the .pot-file.
Let me know, if this works.
I will implement the option to delete the plugin data manually on the backend page to make it easier to use the language files again. Maybe it’s a good idea to let the user choose to either use the language file or the custom entered text via a checkbox.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Simple Terms And Conditions] How to set up a Registration pageHi katya32,
you need to install BuddyPress first and setup the whole BuddyPress-Network. BuddyPress has it’s own registration page and my plugin only adds the control box for the terms and conditions to this existing page.
I updated the plugin today, the input fields are textareas now. It’s much easier to see the content of the fields now and you will see the whole HTML formatted link.
Hi licomic,
with the current update 1.3 all text fields on the options page are now textareas. Now you can see the whole text and all HTML-Tags without having to guess what’s the content.
Hope you like it.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Simple Terms And Conditions] It's simple and straightforwardThank you for your review! I’m glad you like it!
Hi deelondon,
jotnur is right, it’s part of the editable text. I will change the size of the textboxes with the next release, it’s not easy to find something right now.
Thanks for your rewiev anyways!
Hi licomic,
sorry for answering late!
The link is part of the description text, it is just HTML formatted. You can change this text and the link to whatever is suitable for you.
I will change the size of the textboxes with the next release, it’s a little bit difficult to see what is the content of the boxes right now.
Please let me know if this helps.
