    Hi.

Sorry to resurrect an old post. I was just wondering if it would be possible to make this setting permanent maybe by adding it to the styles.css so it isn’t reset when an update happens?

    Thanks

Would it also be possible to add a header and footer to each page that could include the date and time the page was printed and the page number if it is multiple pages?

Wow. That was easy and very quick. Thanks.

Got it. That fixed the border. Brilliant. Not sure why the transparency is still out on the blog but I can live with this.

Sorry, it was added to style.css, not syles.css.

I added the code to the styles.css file is that correct? It hasn’t moved the border up but the transparency is fixed on the front page It is still out on the blog page though.

Interestingly, the border is out on the front page and the blog page but not on the single post page. If you open a blog entry, it looks normal.

    Hi Siobhan

On the front page which is using the WordPress layout, the top border is lower than on the other pages which are html. It is also lower than the blog page which is of course using WordPress. I can’t seem to adjust it. I don’t know whether this is a css issue but if it is why does it work properly on the blog page and not on the front page. Also if you look on the front page and then on the other pages, the transparency is missing from the bottom of the page. I just thought it would be easier to use html throughout.

As I say it is no biggy as it is only going to be up until the end of the year and then I will use a proper theme. This came from a template so all things considered it’s not bad.

Thanks for the reply. I went through that and got to the stage I am at at the moment. I managed to get the header the same as the html but the body was slightly out and some of the css or scripts were’nt working. I tried to fix it but now it is all out. I moved WordPress to a folder on its own and it worked but the permalinks broke so I moved it back. This is for my wedding site, we’re getting married in four months and I just wanted to get it working. I wouldn’t mind having a static site but we wanted the blog features. It’s only going to be up for a few months then I’m chaning it for a full themed site. You can check it out at alexlees.com.nu. The home page is the WordPress page. You can see the difference if you click on some of the other links.

    Thanks

    Foseco
