In reply to: All website content (posts, media and pages) missingHi Davood,
I finally figured out the issue. The database table prefixes were different in my old database tables and I had to change that. Now all the content seem to be back in place 🙂It was a frustrating few days but finally glad to have resolved it. Many thanks for your support.

In reply to: All website content (posts, media and pages) missingIt seemed like there are two instances of wordpress- I can see files that were created with the basic WP installation and the ones I uploaded from backup. What would.be the correct process to get WP connected to my backup files? Should I contact GoDaddy regarding this?
Again, thank you so much for the quick responses.

In reply to: All website content (posts, media and pages) missingThanks. I contacted my previous host and got my old files and database (relieved!!). I now have imported database to the new host and uploaded all my previous files. But, when I install wordpress, it still doesn’t show my old posts. Does it take time to show on the site, or is there anything else I need to do? I can see all the files in my phpadmin, just not on wordpress.

In reply to: All website content (posts, media and pages) missingI am hosting the domain with godaddy.com. I renewed the account within one week after the renewal date and the website mentioned its still not late to renew. So, I thought it would be fine. I can access wp-admin. I checked and the wp-config file database name and WP database names are the same. But, the posts are neither in the cPanel file manager nor in the WP-admin page. Since its not in the file manager, I think that I would have permanently lost it.
Thanks for your feedback.

In reply to: All website content (posts, media and pages) missingThanks. Unfortunately the posts I wanted are unpublished ones. So, I guess there’s no way to recover those through archive.org. When I contacted the host, they told me that unless I created my own backup, I won’t be able to retrieve the files and that failure to renew the host account should not delete the website content. And they asked me to contact WordPress. My error logs on June 8th, 2019 contain ‘PHP Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘ABSPATHwp-includes/load.php’ if that helps.

In reply to: All website content (posts, media and pages) missingDavood,
Thanks for the quick response. I had moved the website from another host many months back, but that transfer was smooth. I have worked with the website after that transfer without any issues. I got emails about WordPress getting updated couple times in the past, but I never really logged in to see if the files were there after the update. The only major thing that I did recently is to renew my hosting account. I renewed it after the renewal date, so I am not sure if everything got deleted then. After the renewal, when I logged into wordpress, all I saw were the basic files.
