Thank you but im still having trouble? I did forget to mention that i have wordpress installed in my yahoo web host.
Yahoo will also not let me upload a .txt file for some reason?
This is really getting confusing for me, I appreciate all the help…think I’m going to try and just get the domain to forward to the /blog.

Well I had the radio button pushed on ‘day and name’ and so i changed it to ‘default’ instead. Is that considered updating the permalinks? was I supposed to right something under ‘Custom’

You lost me here man, Dont know how to create one nor have i seen anything that WP has told me to put?
