In reply to: posting with an old dateAre you importing old posts? If so they will retain their original dates.
If you’ve got just a few posts and you’re not importing, you can edit each post to reflect your chosen date. On the page where you edit a post, scroll down a little and you’ll see where you can change the date (be sure to check the Edit Timestamp box).
*note to self: don’t answer phone while posting, someone will beat you to it 😀

You’ll find a link to the plugin I used there. It’s the best (and easiest!) solution I’ve found so far.
