In reply to: Where did all these new subscribers come from?Interesting, thanks! I figured they were fake just due to a sudden inflow after a few years, but it was even stranger that not a single one of them managed to confirm the email that was sent when they signed up.

In reply to: Need help with hyperlink in signature; site name coming up twiceThanks xennex81!
Clicking on the “visit plug-in site” button leads me to this page:
http://fullthrottledevelopment.com/signature_manager
Not found? Wonder if they’ve gone down.
I tried changing the coding, but still ended up with my page leading to
http://frequentflyermiles101.com/%22http:/www.frequentflyermiles101.com/disclaimer/%22
I’m not sure what the deal is, but I have a feeling that the issue is on their end, not mine.
I’ll wait to see if you have any other suggestions, but if not, I’ll close this out with many, many thanks.

In reply to: Need help with hyperlink in signature; site name coming up twiceGreat! Thanks so much for your help.
Note: After visiting the site, it appears that I am not the only one having these issues. I think I may have to find a new sig manager.
Lesson learned: Check plug-in site, as well!

In reply to: Need help with hyperlink in signature; site name coming up twiceThanks guys, I am using a plug-in, FT Signature Manager. Wonder if it’s a theme/plug-in conflict.
@xennex81, I’m just going into the signature and entering the code as alchymist did in the post right above my previous one. The second one, without the extra slashes. I’d copy it, but it automatically codes it as a link. Don’t know how he typed it without the forum automatically creating a link.
Not sure what the visual editor is, though.
Thanks again,

In reply to: Need help with hyperlink in signature; site name coming up twiceRight now, I’ve got the signature as follows:
Would you like to receive blog posts via email (only one per day, I promise)? Just hit the *Follow* button in the bottom right-hand corner of the web page and you are all set!-
Disclaimer
(the hyperlink in question)
If you hover over the hyperlink in any of my posts, you’ll see the bad link I listed below, where http://www.frequentflyermiles.com shows up twice.
So every time I try to give you the full code, it automatically gets converted into a link. So here’s what I’m doing:
1. Type <a 2. Type href= 3. Type "http://frequentflyermiles.com/disclaimer"> 4. Type Disclaimer 5. Type <a>Trying to get the link just to say “disclaimer” and hyperlink the .com in step 3.
It’s leading to frequentflyermiles101/http://www.frequentflyermiles101.com/disclaimer, which is when I get the 404 error from the site.
I’ll leave it on the site for now so you can see the error.
Thanks so much for your help!

In reply to: Need help with hyperlink in signature; site name coming up twiceThanks alchmyth! Don’t know what etiquette is quite yet, but I’m going to include my site name for explanation.
If I put in http://frequentflyermiles101.com/disclaimer/ into the address bar, it sends me right to the disclaimer.
It’s when I try to hyperlink it in the signature that I get a problem. I type Disclaimer (hover over me to see what I typed and imagine it with the “<a” and “href,” etc. in the right place) and it takes me to frequentflyermiles101/http://www.frequentflyermiles101.com/disclaimer, which is when I get the 404 error.
Oddly, it works just fine from here. I only get that second error on my blog.
