In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Cant't change S3-optionsHey joesch,
are you using the current version 3.0.10 of BackWPup?
Hi Moretti.a,
you can try this two solutions:
http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/309-still-has-probs-uploading-to-dropbox?replies=3#post-4150263Cheers,
CasparYou can exclude that “logs” folder from your backup and the warning will disappear.
Please open your backup job for editing, go to the Files tab and check that folder to be excluded.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Am getting warning errorsHello Young Master,
do you have a folder namend backwpup-2d65f-temp in your uploads folder? If yes, please make it writable for BackWPup by settings its permissions to 777. If not, please make the uploads folder writable for BackWPup.
Cheers,

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] BackWPup Regular Backup ErrorHi juneleyendecker,
thanks for posting. Those warnings come from BackWPup looking for old backup files to delete from your Dropbox while saving the current backup. This is something you can control in your job settings, last tab -> number of files to keep in folder.
The reason why backup does not find any old files could be it keeps looking for the wrong name scheme. Have you changed the name scheme of your backup job lately (option Archive name in tab General)?
Technical sidenote: Moderators have advised us to encourage the use of Pastebin or a similar tool to paste longer chunks of code or logfiles. Please use Pastebin or the code button above the comment field next time. Thanks!
Hi Arro,
open your backup job for editing and go to the last tab “To:[Folder,Dropbox, whatever]”
There you’ll find the location (=path on your server or Dropbox folder or whatever) your backup is stored in.A tutorial on how to restore a backup (database and/or files) can be found in the Codex.
Cheers,

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] maintenance mode deniedHi sfrassanito,
simply disable the maintenance option, please. It’s a feature we had implemented out of a sort of über-cautiousness. It turned out to cause more trouble than help, so we removed in in 3.0.10. You won’t need it unless your blog has super high traffic numbers (in which case you’d likely run a server-side backup solution anyhow).
Cheers,
CasparAre you sure that sidebar issue happened only now, after the plugin error?
I can see a CSS float being cleared where it probably shouldn’t, but it’s hard for me to see where exactly.BackWPup does absolutely not touch any of your theme’s CSS files, though, so I can’t think of any way this could be caused by the error we had. An fatal error does make your site impossible to access (which is uncomfortable enough), but it doesn’t change anything in your theme files.
My best guess would be for you to go through your theme options, menus, widgets and check if any settings need to be changed.
(I’m marking the topic as resolved since we git rid of that error.)
If you want to get BackWPup back up and running before we release the next update, you can replace the contents of backwpup-xx/inc/class-install.php with the contents of this pastebin: http://pastebin.com/6PPrVeKN
(Note the small icon at the top of the large text field. On Mouseover it says “Copy text to clipboard”)After replacing the contents of class-install.php, rename backwpup-xx into backwpup again and activate BackWPup in your WordPress backend.
Hope this helps and your site is accessible again. Please don’t hesitate to post here if you need further assistance with BackWPup. I might be absent, but Robert is going to pitch in.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] I think I'm stuck at 28%[03-May-2013 22:23:31] 39 Files with 283.88 kB in Archive. [03-May-2013 22:23:31] Job done in 1 seconds.Ok, so it runs just fine with a single folder. 🙂
What I need you to do now is to add more folders to your backup job and play with restart values a bit. Try to find a perfect combination with how many folders you can include.(Service notice: I might be absent during the weekend, but Robert will pitch in.)
Ok, please log in to your web space with FileZilla and go to the folder where your WordPress site resides. (The one that most likely has a file named wp-config.php in it.)
From there go to wp-content -> plugins and rename the folder backwpup into backwpup-xx.
BackWPup is now disabled and you can log in into your site via /wp-admin. You’ll see a notification that BackWPup has been disabled, because the plugin folder doesn’t exist. (That’s because we renamed it.)
Once you’re logged in and your site is back up, please come back here and we’ll fix the rest. The site is still there. Do you have access to your web space via FTP?
Hi psnyder,
no worries, it just means our plugin had a hickup. Your site is still there and fine, but you say you can’t log in? Have you tried going to your login page? It usually is at http://your-domain.tld/wp-login.php (where your-domain.tld stands for your website address).
Please try logging into your site first before we come back to the error message.
