Thank you but honestly I give up. I can work out most things but php is too confusing for me, I’m not getting it so I’ll just delete and redirect as and when I can instead.
Sorry I’m still really confused, I’m actually going to have a lot of lists and pages that will all need a category excluded from them, I need something for each individual list/page, how do I do that?

I do have another question, is it possible to exclude a category when I have the taxonomy set as tags? I would like to exclude expired posts from the above page
