Hi @darshanaw,
Thanks for your reply! Yes, you are right: In the meantime I have switched to using the WPForms plugin for the contact form. I made this switch because I wanted to switch to reCaptcha v3 for the whole site and my previous contact form was ‘stuck on’ v2. (I must have used some obscure contact form.)
Anyhow, here’s a follow-up question: I have enabled reCaptcha v3 in the WPForm’s settings. However, on the page with the contact form I do not see the square reCaptcha logo in the bottom/right corner. Is this normal? How do I verify that anti-spam measures are active on that contact form?
Best regards,
I solved it with phpMyAdmin and removed the value from the DB field ‘active plugins’. Then I could access the site again (and activate each plugin manually)

In reply to: Permalinks not working, htaccess file missingHey @west7 ,
Yeah, sorry. I had switched back to ‘plain’ permalinks. In that mode I can at least modify/update pages. Now, I have switched back to ‘post name’ and pages do not load and I cannot edit any page due to the JSON error mentioned before.
Thanks, Frank

Thanks! I watched the video.
My site is not advertised anywhere and no link to any post/page exists anywhere. Is there a way to do this without the redirection plugin?
Another real weird behavior is at work since I enabled permalinks (to something else than ‘plain’). When I try to update any page (including the main page) I get the invalid JSON respond:
“updating failed. the response is not a valid json response.”
I fear this error doesn’t go away by installing the redirection plugin. Or?
Thanks,
FrankThat was it! I didn’t pay much attention to the ‘sender’ email and had it set to the same as the receiver email. This must have bothered sendinblue/brevo. Now it works. Although these contact form mails land in the Spam folder but that’s not the fault of the block. Cheers!
yes, I verified that WP mail SMTP works with 3rd party mail service by doing exactly that (change admin email). Funny thing: when I have the mail SMTP plug in not installed this change of admin email did not work (email didn’t arrive), but the contact form worked. Now, with the mail SMTP plug in installed it’s vice versa: admin email can change, but contact form emails don’t arrive.
any way to debug this?
thanks, Frank

Ok, I wasn’t aware a look at the website helps. Sure, I reposted this question with the link to the website:
