Sorry, thought I mentioned this — the client wanted a printable calendar only page, none of the plugins worked to their satisfaction so the rss feed is goes to a ColdFusion page – http://epoch-adv.com/TCFS/index.cfm
Thanks Marcus. I had tried using a date range as suggested above but for some reason that generated a ColdFusion error.
If they set the scope to 6-months will that show past events or only future events… I’m assuming only future events…
For some reason the RSS feed from the calendar is taking a very very long time to load on the page – I have it set to “all” and there are events set for all year, but it shouldn’t take such a long time to load. The hosting company says there are no server issues.
Is there some other setting that would effect how long it takes to load up the data?
The printable calendar page: http://epoch-adv.com/TCFS/index.cfm – it takes forever to load!
Thank you angelo!
angelo_nwl, thank you I did make that change during one of my recent tests and for the first time I did receive the email confirmation so that may have been the issue, I will run a couple more tests just to be sure… actually….
I’m going to delete your test account in the admin area — do you mind signing up again and let me know if you get the confirmation again?
@ angelo_nwl – yes I see your booking, thank you for testing, BUT now try to go back and book another event let me know if you can login again or what happens when you fill out the form…
From the information I have now — that’s seems to be where the issue is.
If someone has booked one event, then goes back a day or two later and tries to book a second event then nothing seems to work.
@marcus – They allow guest visitors to book events (lots of elderly attendees so its easier), that setting in admin is set to yes. And that does work yes.
It may have something to do with people not receiving the email notification of their user accounts… I have to look into this more. But it does seem to be random, if you fill out the form sometimes it will submit, other times nothing happens, you hit the button to book the event, it cycles through and no success or error message displays, the form is there again.
caimin_nwl – if I click the login button I go to the login for WP – no error messages.
If I do click the login button and login on the WP screen then go back to the event page, the screen is exactly the same – it does not say that I am logged in.
If I go ahead and fill in all the booking fields I see the processing spinning wheel, that goes away and again I see the same form – no success messages or anything just the same form, the booking does not appear in the admin area.
No, still the same.
Thanks angelo-nwl I’ll check into the pro version see if the client wants to go with that.
Thanks petervanderdoes, I’ll look into the plugin!
Thank you Angelo_nwl and caimin_nwl — “all” worked!
I just tried this and if I change future to past the feed only shows past events, I’m looking to show both past and future events… is that possible?
Thank you, here is the link — http://epoch-tcf.com/?page_id=3105
Ok, Google Calendar is working now… must have been some sort of DNS delay or something but it works!
The settings in WP are correct, the Google calendar setting is also correct.
It works fine on iCal, but not Google calendar — WP is set to Eastern Time, the Google Calendar is set to Eastern Time but when the feed comes into the calendar the hours are not correct – there is a 5 hour difference.
Thank you scattered810 the PrintFriendly plugin does allow me to adjust the font size by 70% which is small enough… but since I am using the Weekly Adgenda and events run until 7:30 or later the height of the calendar causes the calendar to print on two pages rather than one.
I can print the calendar as required via Google Calendar but the times are not showing up correctly…
