    Five star review!

I have enjoyed this plugin for at least 10 years, which is really amazing when I think about it. Thank you!

I also have a problem since the recent update.
I narrowed it down to the “random content” plugin by turning all of my plugins off and turning them on one-by-one. My homepage goes down when I turn it on, and comes back online when I turn it off.
I’m using this plugin on my homepage, which may be an edge case if you’re focused on permalinks and slugs.
I’m using Version 1.6.2 of the plugin.
I tried it using wordpress 6.8.3 and 6.9.1

The fatal errors that I’ve been getting on my site refer to memory usage.
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24576 bytes) in /nas/content/live/site/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 490

Let me know what other information I could provide to be helpful.

@filout Thank you for sharing the link to the old version. This worked for me:

Currently the only way is a downgrade to v3.2.10 here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/restrict-content/advanced/

Same here. I’m on php 7.4.
This is the error I’m getting:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function rcp_is_rcp_admin_page() in /wp-content/plugins/restrict-content/restrictcontent.php:1000 Stack trace: #0 /wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(324): {closure}(”) #1 /wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(348): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 /wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /wp-admin/admin-header.php(303): do_action(‘admin_notices’) #4 /wp-admin/admin.php(239): require_once(‘/…’) #5 {main} thrown in /wp-content/plugins/restrict-content/restrictcontent.php on line 1000

    You were right!
I went into the ACF backend (“Custom Fields”) and changed my image return format to Image ID. Now I see images displayed inside the Gutenberg query loop on my front end. Great plugin!

You were kind enough to clarify that “The image size is from the Preview Size setting.” I can’t find the preview size setting anywhere. I have been looking under Setting>Media, but it’s not there. My thumbnail size is set to 272×182, but the MFB is outputting 150×150 images. Any advice would be appreciated.

Wow. Thank you for the quick response. Five stars!

You know more about this than I do, so forgive me if there is some confusion in my response.

I am using the ACF image field type. In the ACF admin page, there are three return options for outputting an image.

    Return Format:
    Image Array
    Image URL
    Image ID

I have been using “Image URL” as the return format for this field. It returns the URL as a string. In other parts of my theme I prefix it with <img src=” and the ACF field populates the uri. “>

I have looked in the MFB block settings, and I don’t see any settings for images. I see these options:

    Default 'meta'
    ACF - Advanced Custom Fields
    Custom field

I also see Display layout: Auto, inline block, block.
and in the advanced HTML element, I see the <span> markup.

Can you advise me the best way to display the ACF image inside my query loop?

I was not paid to post my review. I spent hours trying to learn how to pass variables from google ads into wordpress to track conversions from my ads. I could not find any good tutorials that were specific to google ad words and Ninja Forms.

When I finally got it working with Ninja forms, I didn’t have the energy to document my findings, so I left this review as a breadcrumb for future searchers.

Here it is in a nutshell, Ninja forms can record PPC keywords and other Google Ad data, but you have to manually configure google ads to pass the information on the URL, like this:

    Example.comh/my-sweet-product-landing-page/?account=MyPrimaryGoogleAdAccount&utm_term=KEYWORDWhereCanIbuyYourSweetProduct&where=Googlesearchresults&placement=Search&device=Mobile&AdGroupName=MyAdGroupforMyproduct

If you want something to copy and paste into your google ads tracking template, you can use this:
    {lpurl}?utm_term={keyword}&utm_campaign={_utmcampaign}

Then in your ninja forms form editor, you will need to create hidden fields in your form that match these names:
    utm_term
    utm_campaign

This page tells you how to do it in Ninja forms, but what I couldn’t find for a while was what to enter into the google ads configuration so that the data got forwarded to my site.
    https://ninjaforms.com/docs/querystrings/

I hope this helps someone who comes after me. I was not paid to leave this review.

Here’s a critical comment just to show you I’m genuine: the paid ninja forms Analytics plugin doesn’t do Geo IP lookup now like it used to do when it was first released. I emailed their support about it, and they acknowledged that the IP lookup service had changed, and offered to refund my money. I let them keep my money, because having the IP address was valuable enough that I wanted to keep using the plugin.

Recently I’ve been impressed with Ninja forms conversion rate and price compared to another CRM I tried, and I may post another positive plugin review to give them the credit they deserve. I sent a thank you note to their customer support to tell them they were doing awesome, and they said, “Would you consider leaving that comment on our plugin reviews?” No money exchanged, they just asked politely.

I met a Ninja Forms developer once when he was speaking at a WordCamp, so my impression is that they are pretty decent people. It makes me want to help them continue to do a good job, even though I don’t have any personal association with them.

That would work well for me. Thank you for improving your plugin for me and everyone else!

Martin, it is very thoughtful of you to add that text field. I have seen other plugins cause confusion that way, by splitting their translations between a PO file and backend fields, which means translators have to look for strings in two different places. I think they way you have it is clever, allowing users to take advantage of the core wordpress translation strings.

If you wanted to change something, you could add a span around that string like this:
    <div class=”rpwwt-post-author”><span class=”rpwwt-post-by”>By</span> William Shakespeare</div>

Or if there is something I could add to my functions.php to hide “By” when the author is called, that could accomplish the same purpose.

    Thank you for your help.

Martin, Thank you for replying to my post, and explaining that the plugin uses the standard wordpress translation. I am very grateful to be receiving your support for your free plugin. That is very generous!

The part that I thought was a bug is that I was not able to find the string “By %s” in the PO file for your plugin. Are you pulling that translation from the default wordpress MO file (ar.mo)? If so, then I could modify the translation in the default wordpress translation file.

My Arabic client prefers “بقلم %s” as the the translation of “By %s”, which can be back-translated into english as “By %s” “Written by %s” or “By the pen of %s”.

My farsi client preferred something else as well, but as I wasn’t able to change the translation for him, I ended up hiding the string with some really bad CSS.

Would you be willing to add a span tag and css class to the “author”, so that it could be styled or hidden with CSS?

Thank you for this support! I am getting a lot of value for free from your plugin, and I wanted to help by reporting what might have been a bug, rather than just fixing it on my two sites. I really appreciate your plugin.

    Update:
The instructions above are still working as of today.

The solution above from mediafill seems to have worked really well for me. Adding the extra two URI’s to my Valid OAuth redirect URIs allows me to use Strict Mode for Redirect URIs and still log into facebook with accesspress social login light.

    Thanks mediafill!

    I have the same question.

If you are using the W3cache caching plugin, have you tried disabling it to see if it fixes the problem?
After I disabled the cache, I had to work really hard to clear my browser caches before it would work again. In my case, I did it by adding or removing “www” from my site URL, which caused my browser to refresh.

Let me know if this helps.

I turned of the w3 cache plugin, and the problem hasn’t occurred since then.
If turning off w3 cache fixes it for you, please post here, so that we will have better information about what causes the problem.

Also, disabling the w3 cache plugin doesn’t immediately solve the problem for me -because the site was still cached on my computer! I had to clear the cache several ways before I saw the form work again. In my case, I changed the URL of my site between www and not www, and that was enough to clear all of the locally saved cache files from my browser. There are other (probably better ways) of clearing the cache.

If you’re not using a cache plugin, please post that here, because that would be helpful information.
