Thank you! Deleting the plugin, manually downloading the latest version, and manually uploading it to the WordPress sites did the trick! For anyone else having the same issue discussed in this support thread, DO NOT use WordPress to update or install the latest version of the plugin. Just deactivate the plugin, delete it, then MANUALLY download the latest version to your computer from the Yoast SEO website HERE. Then manually install it using the Add Plugin > Upload Plugin feature in WordPress and install the file from your computer. Thank you again Jose for your help.
Have tried everything (deleting, re-installing, etc.) and the plugin is still stuck on 26.8-RC7 and states an update is available even after updating. Stuck in a loop. The problem is not solved. Please help.
All has been restored. I deleted everything AIOSEO, cleared the site cache (WPRocket and Cloudflare), did a “sweep” of everything using WPSweep, and then re-installed the plugin. Voila! Everything is working now.
Thank you so much. With my current setting (Disable Pingback Functionality From XMLRPC), I was receiving the following message when checking mysite.org/xmlrps.php “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.”
I turned off the aforementioned option and turned ON “Completely Block Access to XMLRPC” – so we’ll see what happens now. I do get the “403 forbidden” message now when checking the xmlrpc.php URL.
Thank you for your help!
Yes, I have “Disable Pingback Functionality From XMLRPC:” enabled because sometimes I use my smartphone to do access the site.
Is it possible to explain HOW people are finding my login page?
No, I do not have the “Allow Unlock Requests” checkbox checked in the User Login section of WP Security settings. We also do not allow customers to login into any area of our website. I’m perplexed how anyone is finding our login page. The amount of Lockout Notifications is also beginning to increase, just as johnhaddad is experiencing.
Thanks for your help.
BTW – I am on an Apache server.
wpsolutions, thank you for your reply. I DO have “Disable Pingback Functionality From XMLRPC:” activated. However, I do NOT have “Completely Block Access To XMLRPC:” activated (as I may need this). I am receiving up to 50 login attempts a day and I have no idea how this is possible. I have almost every security measure running in AIOWPS.

In reply to: [Contextual Related Posts] Disable CRP in Article SlidersYes, it does work with the earlier versions. I ended up turning off the CRP feature on all “Pages” in the settings (since I am using a Page as my Home Page, and that’s where the Latest Posts Slider is that was having the issue with CRP). I don’t really need CRP on any pages, so that solved the issue. Thanks!

In reply to: [Contextual Related Posts] Disable CRP in Article SlidersIt started happening after your last (most recent) update. Before that it worked fine.
