In reply to: paypal buttons malfunction in WordPressI’m using the embed code provided by paypal for the buy it now buttons with drop down menus. I’ve tried using both the embed code and email link for the buy now and add to kart buttons. The only buttons that seem to consistently work are donate buttons, but they are unfortunately way more limited.

In reply to: My site is going crazy. A total disaster! Please help! Are there ever instances where switching to a different theme and switching back can result in even minor changes to how some of the content looked before?

In reply to: My site is going crazy. A total disaster! Please help!yes, all the menus are going to the correct links. For whatever reason, though they show up as the homepage. When I try to edit each page, the correct information (not the information for the homepage) is displayed for all pages that are not the home page.
This issue seems to have started after I downloaded a plugin that is now deactivated.
If I revert back to the original WP theme, what will happen when I switch back over to the current theme? Do you know if doing this can affect the site’s content and appearance in any way?

In reply to: WordPress just won't upload a pdfAs far as I know there is no reason why this file should be denied by the media uploader. It isn’t defective or too big, so I’m really stumped right now. >:(

In reply to: Problem in footer.Does your site have a “theme options” menu on the dashboard? I usually edit the footer through that, or by clicking appearance > menu and/or appearence > widgets.

In reply to: wordpress store refuses to accept my admin user/passHow long will this extra security last? Contact hosting company? I’m confused. Why would I need info from my hosting company when I need my wordpress account information? This is a serious issue because I have no way to update the company’s site (including downloading plugins that protect me from brute force attacks) until I am able to buy more storage.

In reply to: Won't let me upload pdfsSpecifically, I’m trying to upload pdfs as media and post them as a link in a page but wordpress gets stuck during the “crunching” phase and it just will not upload the file. It’s only 7MB so it shouldn’t be the size, and the file is not corrupt or anything.

In reply to: How do I upload an interactive PDF form to my wordpress site?It needs to be on WordPress because that’s what we used to make our site. It is a wordpress site. I followed the instructional videos on youtube to a tee and did everything on the interactive PDF front, I think. There has got to be a way to make it to where you just click the link on wordpress, fill out a form right there, and once submitted that info goes to an email address. Maybe using interactive PDF isn’t the way. Are there widgets or plugins that I can download for this purpose?

In reply to: creating site descriptionHmmm. About 30 minutes ago I made it to where it allows search engines to index my site but I still get this description in google: “A description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt”
Is it because more time is needed for google to index the site?
