I just disabled both plugins.

Actually, I had 2 twitter plugins installed. I removed both: Twitter for WordPress (http://rick.jinlabs.com/code/twitter) and Twitter Widget Pro (http://xavisys.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-twitter-widget/)

I had the same problem. After disabling another twitter plugin I was using, the Twitter (Jetpack) widget appeared. Now it’s working fine!
