Okay so it worked, but now how do I move the rest of the page up?
Where do I include the code that you suggested? I am new to wordpress, and have only done sites from scratch, so using these scripts is a new thing for me.

You are correct with what I am trying to do. I am trying to make the banner picture show only on the home page.
