OTRBasketball, your first problem seems to have struck several people, and I’ve yet to see a fix that works. Could you offer details on what you did to fix the not-available-as-author problem?
I am having exactly the same problem, on two different WordPress installations, and it’s happened before and after an upgrade to 2.6. See http://zahambie.com/blog/2008/06/30/ownership-issues/ for details of my first encounter; but the odd fix I discovered there is not working on the newest version of the bug.
I have exactly this same problem. In fact, this is the second time I’ve hit it, on two separate WordPress installations. See http://zahambie.com/blog/2008/06/30/ownership-issues/ for details of the first time, which was fixed by (bizarrely) using only the visual editor.
This current incarnation of the bug is not proving as easily beaten.
Does anyone out there have any idea what’s happening and how to fix it.
