Some of the info looks like greek to me (I am more a front end designer) so I went online and watched a step by step tutorial (http://gbpcentral.com/blog/move-wordpress-from-directoy-root/). Not sure if this covered all the steps? Everything else seems to be working fine and showing up (images, etc) except for the widgets.
Thanks so much for the help!!! I managed to use another backup program (was a bit pressed for time) but will keep this one for the next WordPress site I built as I usually do them in test folders.
