Thanks, Elvira. I actually just switched off the MailPoet sending and sent my last letter using my blog host. I also manually restored the subscribers that MailPoet had mysteriously marked as inactive (despite some opening 75% of my emails!). I asked the least active ones to re-confirm that they want to be subscribed. That should ensure my list is in good shape.
That said, I see I am eligible to try MailPoet Premium for free, so… I may try that at some point.
Unless you want to nudge me more strongly to return to MailPoet sending, I think we can consider this resolve. Thanks.
PS: I also see now that over recent months multiple people have tried to subscribe to my blog, but have not been confirmed–almost certainly because MP is not sending them the confirmation emails.

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Poll has disappeared since the update!UPDATE: I just discovered that there is still a problem!
The poll appears fine when I first load the page, and people seem to be able to vote fine, but when I click “View Results,” then the poll disappears again, as I first described above!
Any new solution for this problem? Again, thanks in advance.

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Visitor-created poll answers are appearing in duplicate!Okay, I tried another setup:
I set “Add the values submitted in ‘Other’ as answers” to Yes
I set “Display Other Answers Values” to NoWith this setup, I’m not seeing the past duplicate entries. And I am able to add new answers and have them appear on the front end, so that others can vote on the new answers.
I think this will work… It still doesn’t explain why the duplicates have appeared in the past, and it still doesn’t actually delete those old duplicates from the YOP plugin files. But it seems to be hiding them while still allowing new answers to be submitted.
It’s a work-around, but not a proper solution.

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Visitor-created poll answers are appearing in duplicate! What setting should I use for “Allow Multiple Answers”? I currently have that set to “yes” with the maximum at 100 and the minimum at 1. Maybe if I set the maximum to 1 it would prevent duplicate entries?
But even if that works, it would not solve the problem of deleting past duplicate entries. These entries still appear on the front end when I undo the changes you suggested in your first reply, and they still do not appear in duplicate anywhere on the back end so that I could delete them.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Visitor-created poll answers are appearing in duplicate! Thanks for the response!
Okay, I tried that, and here’s what happened.
Good news: The duplicate answers no longer appear–not when voting and not when viewing results.
Bad news: Any new answers added after this adjustment do not appear at all, not even once. This defeats the purpose of user-entered answers.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Visitor-created poll answers are appearing in duplicate!I’ve been digging around in the YOP Poll controls, but still can’t find a way to delete these multiple answers.
A solution would be greatly appreciated!

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Duplicate answersI have the same problem: User-created poll answers are appearing multiple times on my front end, but only once each on the back end, so I have no way of deleting the multiple occurrences.
You can see the problem here (right hand column): http://dwightgingrich.com/
I’m not very tech savy, so a correction within the poll plugin itself is really needed!

In reply to: [Event List] Multi-date events–data is lost when they are editedHi! I’m using the Firefox browser. Since I posted this problem, I repeated the process without any problems. I have no idea why it was a problem once or twice, but not later. I can keep you notified if I have trouble again. Thanks for the response.

In reply to: [Quick Cache (Speed Without Compromise)] Missing images – A caching problem?Hi Raam. Thanks for the response. Actually, Amazon Link does allow one to supply their own API key, and I’ve had that in place all along. If I understand correctly from the Amazon Link developer, however, there is still a limit to how many requests Amazon lets you make in one go. So the above work-around seems inevitable as far as I can see.
At least it’s still working well! (And I’m still using Quick Cache.)
