can you provide a link to your site. What theme are you using. Are you using some sort of search plugin? Also, the version of wordpress would be helpful as well.
The site you provided does not work. However I think I might be able to help.
This example assumes your home page is called “Home”
Go to Settings > Reading
There is an option Front Page Displays, click Static Page then in the Page drop down pick Home. If you want it to be a post page, then in that drop down pick that page. You cannot pick a post and a regular page, for obvious reasons, you can only pick one of these.
