    Hey there Synchronicity,

    Thanks for taking the time to leave this review.

    The only thing I don’t like about it is the 1Mb limit.

    Out of interest, what do you think would be a fair limit for the free version?

    The pro version is just way too expensive for me to even consider.

    As a side note, I understand cost can be an issue. If wish to chat with our accounts guys regarding this matter, please contact us here:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/

    Select “I have a billing question“. I’m sure we can help.

    Have a fantastic day, and once again thank you for your review.

    Hey there,

    Do you have a larger version of the image?

    Scaling up with CSS could distort it, it’s best to optimise a larger image for use.

    Perhaps then use some CSS to scale down, or use a smaller version for mobile browsing.

    As an example in CSS:

    #logo a img {
      height: 180px;
      width: 280px;
    }

    Hopefully that should give you some ideas 🙂

    Hey there,

    Which thumb, the one of the single item page, if so, you can use this:

    .single-product .product .images img { width:160px; height: auto; padding: 9px; border:1px solid #e6e6e6; margin-bottom:12px; }

    If it’s the front list as per the Woo demo page:

    ul.products a img { width:100%; }

    Depending on how you change those rules, you’ll need to account for other changes in the design which surround the images, examples being margin, padding, etc.

    Take care

    Hey again,

    You could simply hide its display with something like:

    .blog .fimgContainer{display:none}

    Some themes offer the option to enter custom CSS, it’s worth checking, but if it doesn’t

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/simple-custom-css/

    Or you could look into using a child theme and removing the actual code.

    Hope this helps. 🙂

    Ah, I misread you there. Thought you referred to the background colour for some reason.

    As you noted, for font colour you use the “color: #HEXCODE”. and set it’s hover state.

    Glad to see you got that sorted 🙂

    Hey there,

    Something like this should do it:

    #nav-main ul .sf-dropdown-menu{background-color:#000;}

    Take care.

    Hey there,

    1. Seems like you sorted the Helvetica?

    I see it working on your site, on:

    http://take.ms/wZOw7

    And off:

    http://take.ms/mYZSM

    2. The social icon, that offer effect is a sprite, it’s done in a single image. Here is the path for the Facebook one:

    http://kairosnet.co.za/wp-content/themes/skt-the-app/images/icon-facebook.png

    You’d need to change those images to suit your needs.

    Have a fantastic day!

    Hey there,

    I took a look at your site on my iPhone 6+, I don’t where it’s italic. Could you show me a screenshot.

    Here is my screenshot:

    Your header images is way too big for mobile though. You should use a smaller image for faster load times. It’s currently 2175px wide!

    A nasty CSS fix would be:

    body img:first-child {width:100%;}

    I say nasty because the image size is still big, it’s still loading. Just looking better.

    As for the centralisation of the content, it’s all in a <center> tag. Remove the tag, or use some CSS like:

    body center{
    	text-align: left;
     	display:block;
     }

    Hope this gets you sorted, have a fantastic day!

    Hey there,

    It would be super awesome if you could please share a link to your site where we can see this behaviour. We can then take a peek through developer tools and see what’s going on there.

    My guess is some CSS may be overriding the centre align and pushing it to the left.

    Have a great day!

    Hey there,

    Thanks for your question.

    Sounds like you have a featured image, and maybe a thumb. Some themes take the the first image on the page and make that the header image. Is the the duplicated image also in the body of the article?

    If so, you could remove that, and then just use the WordPress Featured image feature on the right of the editor area. You could also just set a different featured image too.

    Hopefully that gets you on the right track, have a great day!

    Hey again,

    Was your host not able to provide those error logs, they would great help us to see what the issue is, and fix that for you.

    Just to mention, it’s not $600 a year for premium Smush plugin alone. It’s available either as part of our full membership, or as a single plugin at $19 per month.

    If you do give it another try, and still get the white page, those error logs would really help us to fix any issue for you.

    Have a great day!

    Hey there.

    Sorry to hear about your issues.

    I asked a tech a WPMUDEV who said that he uses it constantly and it doesn’t effect his page load times either way., so why use it?

    This was the ticket:

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/so-when-using-wp-smush-pro-on-a-site-and-testing-the-speed

    Patrick was referring to how the plugin code affects your site load time when active vs deactive. He wasn’t referring to how optimising your image size can help load times on your site.

    This plugin doesn’t optimise your site, it optimizes your images, the ones you use in posts, and in the media library. Smaller images means the site should load quicker.

    That said, I had another user report a similar issue. Although I, like Patrick, was unable to recreate the issue of slowing my site down. We are looking into this matter further to ensure there isn’t something we missed.

    On DEV you mentioned:

    I ran a p3 test And it tells me that Gantry Frameworks is whats really slowing me down but that still doesn’t explain why Smush would actually increase my download speed.

    Just out of interest, what happened with that disabled? And then what was the difference (from no Gantry) if you deactivated Smush (no Gantry + no Smush).

    Would it be possible for you to please include screenshots showing those stats?

    And finally, would you be willing to do a time to first byte test whilst active, and whilst deactivate, and then share the link for both results so I can see the stats:

    http://www.webpagetest.org/

    If you can, that would be fantastic. It will enable us to look into this matter further.

    Have a great weekend.
